Have you noticed unauthorized charges on your credit or ATM card showing up on your statement? The charges we get are SHOPPERS DISCOUNT and COMPLETE SAVINGS, $12 each, every month. Where did these companies get access to our credit card information?
It turns out when you order online at PizzaHut.com, they supply your credit card info to a 3rd party company, in this case, COMPLETE SAVINGS, and they start charging you a monthly fee for discounts you never get on products you never order. The way it works: the PizzaHut site offers you money off your order for filling out a survey. The survey is much longer than you expect. when you click out of it, it signs you up as agreeing to Terms and Conditions, which is a lie. Then PizzaHut gives your credit card info to a company you never heard of.

This also happens with VistaPrint.com, the business card company, only they set you up with SHOPPERS DISCOUNT. It turns out fandango.com and FTD.com do the same:

Shoppers Discount is WLI Shoppers Discount, part of WebLoyalty.com, and they slip these insidious small charges on credit card consumers around the world.
You can get more info by doing what I did, Google SHOPPERS DISCOUNT SCAM and see what comes up. Do the same for COMPLETE SAVINGS SCAM. Then go look at your bank statement. This is happening to hundreds of thousands of consumers.
The disappointment is that major corporations like PizzaHut are part of this scam. I will never buy their products again. I have reported this to our local consumer advocate, Al Sunshine at wcbs4.com. If there is a class action suit or government agency looking to bust these companies, I want in on it.

I got burned using Tiger Direct with this scam. Do not use Tiger Direct because they are also part of the problem.
I also got burned by Complete Savings via Tiger Direct computer parts mail order store. Tiger Direct is also part of the problem then.
We just got burned by this by making a telephone order from The Company Store. We explicitly declined the offer, and they signed us anyhow.
Got scammed using Just Flowers.com
Hmmm.... I made a purchase today at ELF cosmetics, and the pop up showed up. It offered $10 cash back on my next purchase, if I agreed to sign up with them. There was a big blue yes I agree button, and below in small black letters a no thanks link, which I clicked on and the page closed, hopefully I won't get billed any charges, since I clicked on the no thanks link. It sounds like some people may have clicked the link to take advantage of a future discount not knowing that they were enrolling in a program just to get back $10 of cash back on their next purchase of whatever. Good luck, hopefully I won't be one of them.
Stephanie, people who clicked yes or no have been getting billed. Check your statement for SHOPPERS DISCOUNT charges.--Neil
We got hit by using JCWhitney.com It showed up as a $12/month charge from Complete Savings
I'm very angry about this. I have been using Pizzahut.com for a couple years to order my pizza online. I've now decided I'm never ordering anything from there again. Which sucks because they are my favorite pizza. I'm so dissapointed.
i also got scammed i ordered something on rocawear .com n transfered me to $10 coupon thing i declined i seen a 12 charge i called and they said they would refund hopefully they do i will never use my credit card to purchase anything online again only threw paypal ughhhhhh
I got two $12 charges on my account from Complete Savings in CT, as well. I called them to see what was up and it's from my orders at drugstore.com They cancelled my membership (what? when did I sign up?) and they're supposedly issuing two $12 refunds.
I was scammed as well through Nashbar which sells bike stuff. However, I check my bill, the phone number was next to the charge transaction. I simply called the number, picked one of the selections, and asked them to cancel my subscription and remove my charges. They said it would take several days. so, we'll see.
I used FTD.com and got taken. The link said "Save $20 on your next order from FTD" I clicked on it and it signed me up for Complete Savings using the credit card I supplied to FTD. SCAM!! Count me in if someone wants to start a Class-Action.
I signed up for the Complete Savings through Pizza Hut last year. I decided to keep the membership past the trial period because it DOES pay me $10 back for one Pizza Hut purchase per month - which almost covers the cost of my membership. ($12 per month)
To get my $10 check for my pizza I just have to forward the Pizza Hut confirmation email to them.
Since we order Pizza all the time, the "true" cost to me is $2 per month.
Since I can order 4 discount gift card from them per month ($25 gift cards cost $20) I order gift cards for CVS, Sears, Red Lobster, Home Depot, K-Mart, Shell and BP gas, etc - and easily make my $2 back. $100 worth of gift cards from companies I use all the time costs me $80.
I also recently got my car towed for free - because the $12 per month membership also includes roadside service at no extra charge.
Every few months I get a $25 Visa Card from cashing in points I receive from printing coupons at their site (buy one get one free dinners, 20% off purchase coupons, etc)
So though I was hesitant to join, I do not consider it to be a scam, and I certainly get way more than my $12 from them each month.
I also joined the Shopper Discount and Rewards through Brylane Homes when I made a purchase there.
I received my $10 back, as promised, for joining - and I ordered another item from Brylane Homes within my trial period and received my $10 for that.
I canceled my membership with them within my trial period and was not charged.
I have been scammed by Pizza Hut and Complete Savings in the same way described in this website. I am a lawyer and if you are interested in emailing me to participate in a class action against Pizza Hut and other corporations that are providing credit card details unlawfully when an order is placed on their website, please send the details of your dispute to paulaphillips11@gmail.com. It is time to go after these deep pocket companies and send a strong public message that scams will no longer be tolerated.
This happened to me too when i bought something from ELF. I saw it on my account that they took $12 and i didn't know what it was and then it came again the next month. So i called the number and the person cancelled it for me and said i will get my money back.
I got it through Barnes and Noble according to Complete Savings when I called to ask how I was charged. My wife, whose email was used, has no memory of anything clicked at any time. It is truly a compicated scam.
Sure, everybody send their credit card information and other personal data to a Paula Phillips, claiming to be a practicing attorney starting a class action suit with a gmail account.
And I'm sure you'll benefit greatly as a member of the class action lawsuit :-). And of course, Paula Phillips does this with all the social nobility for which lawyers are well known.
I thought this was a posting about avoiding scams?
